Accademia Leonardo (Salerno, Italy)
 Italian Language School Accademia Leonardo is situated in a historic noble building in the historical center of the City of Salerno. One side of the school looks out upon the city's botanical garden, Theater Verdi and the Castle of the Prince Arechi, a mighty fortification erected by the Byzantines. The other side views the sea and the city's port. The school environment is very vibrant with vivacious colors and recently restored frescos.
The school welcomes students in a comfortable and dynamic environment with bright, large classrooms equipped with the most modern multimedial devices. Broadband wired internet points,satellite TV, a video library with movies in original language, resource centre and library are available for the student's use.

Salerno is about 15 minutes drive from the archeological site of Pompei, 30 minutes drive from the archeological site of Paestum and Naples, about 45 minutes boat ride to reach Capri. The Amalfi Coast starts from Salerno.
Salerno is a real Italian City, where foreign people experience the real Southern Italian life. Here life is very easy, people are friendly and take care of each other. With a thriving main street, the city gives people "the small town feeling". Restaurants, "pizzerie", pubs, shops, beaches are reachable within a short, enjoyable walk.
You will never feel like a tourist amongst thousands of other tourists like in cities such as Florence or Rome. You will soon become one of the Salernos, and at the end of your journey it will be really difficult to leave.

 Flights and transfer |
The flight and any other transportation to and from your destination is your own responsability. It is recommended to look around at the different air lines since they often have special offers and the prices can differ a great deal. If you have problems finding your flight please don't hesitate to ask us for assistance and we will do our best to help out.
We are glad to inform you that to reach Salerno there is a bus directly from Naples Airport to Salerno called BUONOTOURIST. You can also catch the train from the Ralway Station in Garibaldi Square and there is a shuttle bus called ALIBUS from the airport to the station.

 What happens on the first day |
You are adviced to be at the school at 09:00 the first day where you will do a placement test. That will help the staff to put you in a class that suits you. If there are many students booked at the same time we might send the test to you before the course starts.
