For ages, Rambouillet has been the favorite place of Parisians who come to spend the weekend, French kings who used the chateau hunting grounds, and most recetntly the President of the Republic who now uses the chateau to hold governemental conferences.
In 2000 the city of Rambouillet was awarded the European Prize of "Art de Vivre".
