Malaca Instituto (Malaga, Spain)
The outstanding learning and leisure facilities found on the mini-campus of Malaca Instituto - Club Hispánico are the result of over 30 years of work dedicated to creating the right environment for our students.
There are 25 classrooms. They are comfortably equipped with modern classroom furniture and all have whiteboards and the majority have a TV monitor with video.
You will also have access to: A Multimedia Study Centre, a library, a computer lab with internet, a cinema, a multi-activity room, a dance studio.
Apart from all this you can relax at one of three main terraces each offering a different atmosphere and allowing you to choose the most appropriate according to your mood.
In Andalucía, for those who want to enjoy life to the full, it is unthinkable not to have a swimming pool. The pool is the perfect place to cool off during the heat of the day.
Next to the pool you can order food, snack and drinks at the school's own Bar & Restaurant.

Malaga |
Málaga is currently the most popular destination in Spain for studying Spanish. Located on the southern, Mediterranean, coast of Spain it benefits from the famously moderate “Mediterranean climate” and all the cultural heritage and influences (history, architecture, music, dance, gastronomy, etc.) of the many different peoples of the region.
The major defining characteristics of Andalucía, the southern region of Spain in which Málaga is found, are the result of the 800 years of occupation by arabic peoples from Africa, which continued until 1492. They brought with them their music (the roots of flamenco), their palaces and white-washed villages, fountains and flowing water, books, libraries and universities – all this at a time when the rest of Europe was in the savage depths of the Middle Ages.
It is these influences from another continent and culture that create what many visitors describe as the “passion and mystery” of Andalucía and which make it such an interesting and exciting place for your language studies.
History
Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs have all left their traces in Málaga and Andalucía.
Just in the city of Málaga you will be able to see:
the Alcazaba: a large Moorish castle stretching from the city centre to the top of a hill giving fabulous views over Málaga and towards the mountains.
The Roman amphitheatre
A huge Christian cathedral
The Arabic/Moorish influence throughout the historic city centre’s narrow, streets with overhanging balconies, interior patios, charming squares with fountains playing, etc.
In addition, Málaga is ideally placed for seeing the other great historic cities of Andalucía (Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba and Ronda).

Accommodation & prices 2010 |
|
Host Family (Half board) - Single |
* All prices are displayed in EUR
* The school's booking fee (accommodation):
EUR 0.00
The accommodation is on a half-board basis which usually consists of a light, “continental” breakfast and a substantial lunch. An evening meal can sometimes be offered instead of lunch by arrangement with the family. However, you should remember that lunch is traditionally the main meal of the day and the moment when the family tends to get together - your best chance to practise your Spanish!
The host family will be happy to wash your clothes for you and have the right to charge a reasonable amount for this service. On the other hand you might prefer to use the self-service laundry in the Club Hispánico.
By choosing to stay in a host family you will benefit from the maximum level of contact with day-to-day Spanish as spoken by a typical family and a unique insight into the Spanish way of life.
